The Lumia 925 is everything a smartphone should be - and more. While it wins in the looks and build category with its metal casing and sleek body, it's sophisticated camera and gorgeous display put it out there with the best of them. With the Lumia 925, Nokia truly has a flagship to boast about.

Nokia is certainly making its smartphones bolder and better than ever before - and the hard work is paying off. The Finnish tech giant has a lot to offer on the well endowed Lumia 925 high-ender. The most talked about feature on the device, with good reason, is the handset's ability to capture some gorgeous imagery. Nokia has also teamed up with Coloud to prep a new range of headphones for its handset that should hit stores next month. Boom, Knock and Pop headphones are affordable, durable and stylish. What's more, they come in Nokia's signature colour scheme of yellow, red and cyan. Additionally, Zound Lasso makes managing the headphones' cables easy and hassle free.
Besides a number of features that are new and improved across the board on the Lumia 925, Nokia has also given the handset a uniquely Indian twist - something that will make it stand out from all the competition it faces in the sub-continent.
Nokia 925 comes pre-installed with the newly launched Flipkart eBooks WPPhone app. Users of the handset can enjoy free access to a number of bestselling authors including India's own Chetan Bhagat, Shobha De and Khushwant Singh, among others.

Design and Display
The fits thing that hits one about the Lumia 925 is how slim it is - and how good looking. A sleeker, lighter variant of the Lumia 920, it stands out with its aluminium frame - a first from Nokia. Weighing in at just 139g and measuring 8.5mm in thickness, the flagship is Nokia's pride and joy with good reason.
At first glance itself, one can make out the effort Nokia has put into crafting its masterpiece. With its clean lines and angular shape it is the definition of sophistication.
The front and back panels of the handset are polycarbonate and sit comfortably within the aluminium frame, giving the best of both worlds to its users.
While the frame's contrasting lines detail the corners of the phone beautifully, the metal edging serves a functional purpose too - it houses the device aerials. The slightly curved back holds the PureView camera and at the bottom lies the punched speaker grill.
The contoured glass display on the front of the handset is surrounded by black fascia, and it gives the illusion of expanding from edge to edge. In a familiar stylizing move, Nokia has placed the power and volume keys on the right hand side of the handset and a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB port and a Sim tray on its top. The phone conveniently comes with a dedicated shutter button to activate the camera.
The Lumia 925's 4.5-inch AMOLED display packs in a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and a pixel density of 332 ppi.
Visuals on the handset are rich, vibrant and sharp thanks to Nokia’s PureMotion HD+ and ClearBlack technologies. The phone is quite durable too, with its Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.
Nokia has pulled off quite a feat by managing to stuff a PureView 8.7-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation, dual-LED flash, Carl Zeiss optics and 1080p HD video into the sleek Lumia 925. A sixth glass lens layer that accompanies the five plastic ones sets the handset's camera apart from that of the Lumia 920, as does its ISO capability of 1,200.
Image quality on Nokia's newbie is certainly something to write home about. Lumia 925 gives photography enthusiasts everything they could desire - from clarity, sharpness, depth of colour and vivid contrasts to dynamic ranges and low-light performance, it's all there on the smartphone.
Nokia takes mobile photography a notch higher with its new Smart Camera app.
Still images and videos can be edited and given a whole new meaning with a range of options including best shot, action shot for ‘time-lapse’ style images, motion blur, TiltShift (model village), multi-shot with face picker and remove object mode.
